Truly one of a kind. It makes a fresh and convincing narrative on some of the most used elements in novels of the genre (Returnees). Also, I often find myself relating to the MC and his dumb ass actions because that's how normal people tend to be. Really liked the comedy in the novel, though I'll admit that it might not be to everyone's tastes, it's really memorable. Not to mention that some of them often had me hurting at the sides from how much I was laughing. If you are here reading this review, I highly recommend you read it and give it a try, read the first few chapters. For the majority of readers, I am certain you're going to get hooked just from that.

I really enjoyed this story and it's mix of humour and destruction.

The story revolves around the MC's return to Earth after thousands of years (from his perspective) but comes back to find the earth is going through an apocalypse where gates and monsters have appeared alongside the manifestation of ability users. The MC must adapt in this world competing with his own changes (mental, physical and power-wise) and the changes in the world he once knew. The story has the MC becoming depended upon as a bastion of hope as the world falls deeper into chaos and barrels toward its own destruction.

The main character is basically a lazy OP sh*thead who has a quippy and irreverent personality. He has iffy morals as he spent a few thousand years as a Demon Lord of another world, but throughout the story he (somewhat) regains his sense of humanity. He is essentially still a teenager mentally despite all the years he's lived so he can come off as immature, grumbling and combative, however despite this he always steps up to the plate when he's needed and cares deeply for his family and ally's even if he doesn't show it.

It's fun watching the other characters interact with the MC and getting sucked into his (to them) nonsensical pace and thought process. It's interesting to see the changes in the dynamics of the core group throughout the novel and the storyline progresses at a mostly good pace (at times some sections feel a dash drawn out but you know, it happens).

As of this point the novel is incomplete as far as the English TL goes, but I look forward to reading the conclusion!

Trash. Don't waste your time with this, the MC is pathetic and the story itself is quite boring, at least for me all of the characters are annoying

this is so underrated. this is good and funny, it's not boring at all and has a definitely unique plot compared to other novels, you can also find each character alive and I can actually relate to the mc's character and I love how crazy he is.
