The Sweetest Medicine
Chapter 41: Who Started Trouble?

The bald man then looked at Yu Gangan and asked in a rough voice, “Are you in charge here?”

Only after she confirmed that Song Chabai was OK, did Yu Gangan nod her head at the man, “Yes, I am. May I ask what’s the problem?”

“What’s the problem? It’s a big problem!!” the bald man said as he raised his voice angrily and pointed at the middle-aged woman in the wheelchair. “Look. She was fine before, but Yueming Hall’s treatment somehow made her like this.”

“Was she treated at Yueming Hall?” Yu Gangan immediately thought of He Wanxin.

Did He Wanxin prescribe something carelessly and cause a problem?

Her face began to turn pale as she looked at the woman in seriousness.

She then kneeled in front of the patient to feel her pulse and examine her properly for any abnormalities.

But, before Yu Gangan touched the woman, the man pushing the wheelchair swiped her hand away.

He then cried painfully, “My wife simply had high blood pressure. Her condition stabilized after she went to the hospital to get an injection and after she got some medicine prescribed. The hospital told us she would be fine as long as we went back for regular check-ups. But, I felt that Western medicine was too harsh on the body, so I thought it would be good for her to balance it with gentle Chinese medicine. We heard that Yueming Hall had a good doctor, so we decided to come here. In the end, the medicine you prescribed caused my wife to fall ill within a few days and she even fainted in our living room yesterday. When she woke up, she was weak and tired; she couldn’t even walk! Tell me, what kind of doctor are you? How are you saving lives? You are ruining people’s lives instead!”

The bald man threw a bag of medicine on the floor and pointed to it angrily, “Have a look at the medicine you prescribed. This medicine is moldy. How could you feed it to your patients? What do you treat a human life as? By having no conscience, aren’t you afraid of karma?”

Yu Gangan’s gaze turned cold as she looked at the medicine.

The medicine was indeed a little moldy, but it didn’t seem like it had come from Yueming Hall.

These particular herbs could be stored for up to 2 months and were kept in very good conditions at Yueming Hall. They couldn’t possibly go moldy.

She had only been absent for half a month. There was no way that He Wanxin could have ordered more.

Since these people weren’t allowing her to check the woman’s pulse, they were obviously hiding something from her.

She couldn’t argue nor ask any questions, but when she looked at the woman, she could tell that she merely appeared weak when her body was actually very healthy.

So, were these people here to cause trouble?

The middle-aged man looked like he was burning in anger, “Let me tell you, if you don’t give me a satisfactory solution today, then I’m not going to let this go.”

The bald man then joined in, “Compensate us or we will call the police.”

Yu Gangan sneered inside.

These guys were so in sync that it seemed like they were really there to cause trouble. Yu Gangan simply wasn’t sure if they were sent by He Wanxin.

“You said she’s unwell, she can’t walk and she’s weak and tired. Please show me your examination report from the hospital. Otherwise, call the police and let them handle this matter,” Yu Gangan said.

“Fine! We’ll call the police!” the bald man said with complete confidence. He was either confident that Yu Gangan wouldn’t call the police, or he wasn’t afraid of the police.

Yu Gangan looked at the man coldly.

Meanwhile, Song Chabai was a little frightened, “Let me tell you, you are causing trouble here. This is not allowed, it is a form of blackmail. You could be sentenced to a minimum of 5 years in prison.”
