Transmigration of the Famous Cyber Star
Chapter 47: Warning Tang Tu

Liu Man shivered with this look from Tang Tu. She turned around to look at Professor Qiu but didn’t expect for her to be smiling. She suddenly remembered this sentence, it was a line from Duan Nanfeng in the script, and this was also a scene from the script — After Gu Qing returned from America, he had a meal with Ji An and Duan Nanfeng. This scene was supposed to be the rival show.

Tang Tu had pretended that she and Professor Qiu were Gu Qing and Ji An.

Liu Man didn’t expect Tang Tu to be this fast at getting into character. In an instant, he became a different person. This, strangely, scared her. She had stopped feeling as if Tang Tu had a dissimilar temperament as Duan Nanfeng. Good actors were supposed to be like this, to make characters come alive. It was no wonder that Tang Tu got famous when he was young; He did have talents at acting.

Qiu Jing applauded as if it was a show, “You got into the right mood, keep doing this good job.”

“If I have to do this every time I have a meal with you, I will soon die of exhaustion,” Tang Tu purposely made his shoulders sink. His posture was now hunchbacked and improper.

If the fans of Tang Tu saw how their idol was sitting right now, their mouth would probably fall open. Even at school, Tang Tu would always look supreme and have good postures. This was just his public persona.

It could be seen exactly how much he trusted Qiu Jing for him to show his playful side.

So, privately, such a talented and handsome Tang Tu was no different than a normal boy. Liu Man lowered her head and thought to herself quietly. She couldn’t resist but sneaked a look at Tang Tu, but realized he was looking at her, too. He blinked, “Haha, is my lowerclassmen peeping me?”

Liu Man immediately blushed, “No, I’m not. I’m really not!”

The way she tried so hard to refute looked cute in Tang Tu’s eyes. Tang Tu remembered that time when he visited the Sophomore classroom. Liu Man was like this when she saw him; her neck and her ears were all as red as a cherry, waiting to be bitten on.

He stared at Liu Man and couldn’t look away, just like in the script, how Duan Nanfeng first saw Ji Ning — He was completely mesmerized to her, and the desires in his eyes couldn’t even be discovered by himself.

Qiu Jing knew what was happening, and she quickly became aware of the wrongness of the situation. She told Tang Tu, “Tang, do your family and your girlfriend disagree with you coming over to Shanghai during the New Year?”

Tang Tu finally became more conscious when he heard the word, ‘girlfriend.’ He saw how serious Qiu Jing looked, her eyes filled with admonition. Tang Tu awkwardly laughed, “My family has always been supportive, especially with my job. As for Mozhen, she goes back to her hometown for the break.”

For the rest of the meal, the trio chatted as they ate. The topic was always around the film, and Tang Tu never acted out of bounds.

After the meal, before they left the restaurant, Tang Tu suddenly said to Liu Man, “Hey, you don’t have my WeChat, right? Since we are now co-workers, let’s add each other as friends so it would be more convenient for us to contact each other.”

Liu Man did not think much and added Tang Tu on WeChat.

Tang Tu was very glad on the inside when he finally got Liu Man’s WeChat. As he lifted his eyes, he saw Professor Qiu’s faint smile.

Tang Tu and Qiu Jing lived in better hotels, and so the driver drove Liu Man back to her hotel first before sending them back.

After Liu Man got off the car, Qiu Jing changed to a stern expression, “It is normal for men to be fickle in love when they are young, especially men like you, who are unique and talented. However, I don’t want you to go and mess around with Liu Man. This girl is too naive and has not experienced what we’ve been through. She’s different from those other women in the entertainment circle. Besides, you were the one who ignored our reminders and stubbornly publicized your relationship with Shen Mozhen. So now, you should be responsible for what you decided to do. Be faithful to Shen Mozhen and your relationship. For an actor, your most important treasure is your reputation. I wouldn’t want people to hear the name, ‘Tang Tu,’ and think of playboys.”

Tang Tu had his head lowered and was silent during the scold. It was unclear whether he was actually listening to Qiu Jing’s lecture and warning, or if he was completely ignoring it.

The opening ceremony for the movie was set to the next day’s morning, and all closely-related ones must be there. The crew was also going to invite over the press, so they could reveal the news that was tightly sealed from the public, and create a bright future for the movie.

And so before this ceremony, Liu Man, the extra, was ignored by everyone else. She took a power nap at the hotel, and when she woke up, it was already four in the afternoon.

As she turned on her phone, she saw a message from Yu Zhan that was from two hours ago.

“Are you in Shanghai yet?”

She quickly responded, “Yes. I was napping, and I just now saw your message,” Then, she sent the location of the hotel over to Yu Zhan.

Yu Zhan did not respond. He was probably busy with his pet clinic.

Liu Man logged onto her Wei Bo. She now had more than 30,000 fans and was almost reaching forty-thousand. After she revealed the fake cat food dealers, because she did not have any other famous live streams, her Wei Bo fans did not grow very much.

Excluding the cute pictures she took for Daylight, Liu Man sometimes posted some daily photos.

She pulled open the curtains. Her room was on the twenty-third floor, and she could see the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The weather today was quite nice. The sky was still blue, but the impending sunset dyed the edges of the clouds orange.

Liu Man aimed her phone at the Oriental Pearl Tower and took a photo.

“I am in Shanghai.”

She posted it on Wei Bo and attached this photo. She then sent the same message with the same picture to her WeChat moments.

There were soon many fans replying to her on Wei Bo,

“Live-streamer, you stopped live-streaming for three whole days! So you were having fun in Shanghai.”

“Sis, this is so not cool. You are having fun without us. Did you forget about us?”

“Princess Man, are you going to live-stream tonight?”

“Yeah, show us how the Huangpu River looks like during the evenings. I haven’t been to Shanghai yet.”

After seeing the comments on Wei Bo, Liu Man decided to go and take a walk that night. A notification from WeChat popped out just as this thought emerged into her mind.

“Do you have any plans for tonight? Would you like to take a walk with me? I’m very familiar with Shanghai.” — Tang Tu

Liu Man didn’t want to have any relationship with Tang Tu, and so she replied, “Thank you for asking, but I’m feeling a bit tired, and I would like to rest at the hotel.”

“Oh, then alright. You need a good rest for more energy when we start filming.”

In just a few minutes, Liu Man’s post on her WeChat was liked by a lot of her friends. Tang Tu was the first one to leave a like on her post. The second like was from Cocoa Beans, whom she added but never chatted to.

Coco obviously realized that, too. She sent over a WeChat message, “Hi! Long time no see. Sis, are you in Shanghai right now?”

“Yeah, I’ve just arrived today.”

“Such a coincidence! I’m in Shanghai right now, too. Tonight, I’m going to be live-streaming at the pedestrian mall. Would you like to come so I won’t feel so lonely?”

“Of course! I was just wondering where I should go visit tonight.”

“Haha, this means we are destined to be friends all along. I will send you the address. I’m probably going to start live-streaming at seven, so you can come after you have your dinner. Emmmm… If it isn’t because there’s someone else with me, I would like to have dinner with you,” Coco sent over a helpless emoji.

Coco got famous for live-streaming her songs on the streets. Later on, someone sent her videos onto Tik Tok, and she quickly became popular.

The now-famous Coco continued to live-stream herself singing at landmarks of different cities when she had time in addition to those performances her agents appointed for her. Every time she live-streamed, she would attract countless fans. The street would soon be filled with huge crowds of people, and cheering sounds would be heard everywhere.

There weren’t many singers like her, who liked to live-stream on these streets. Many cyber singers preferred to seem superior after they got famous like they were somehow unique. Coco was very approachable, which was why the younger age groups loved her.
