Transmigration of the Famous Cyber Star
Chapter 48: Live-streaming at the Pedestrian Mall

Liu Man had a simple bowl of noodles for dinner before getting on the subway and heading to where Coco was.

She was already very early, but the entire street was already filled with crowds and crowds of fans. Even on normal days, this pedestrian mall was filled with shoppers, and now there was an extra group of Coco’s fans.

Coco’s live streaming spot was at the far end of the street. But even though Coco was not here yet, there was already a crowd surrounding the place. Liu Man couldn’t get anywhere closer to the stage.

She stopped trying, found a place where there were fewer people, and logged onto her live-streaming room.

“Sis, you’re finally online!”

“There are so many people. Are you live-streaming outside today?”

“Uh, don’t you follow her on Wei Bo? She’s in Shanghai right now.”

“Why are you suddenly in Shanghai?”

Liu Man said, “I’m going to be in Shanghai for the next twenty days.”

“What about Daylight? What are you doing with her?”

“I left her with a friend.”

“Sis, where are you at? It’s so noisy, I can’t even hear you talking.”

“I’m at the pedestrian mall. Coco’s going to live-stream singing later on. I’m here to watch her.”

“Wow, Coco’s there, too? I want to watch Coco sing!”

“Me, too!”

“She is my favorite cyber singer. Every single song she writes is so good!”

“I did see Coco post something on her Wei Bo saying she’s going to live-stream at the Shanghai pedestrian mall.”

“Our live streamer is the best! We’re so lucky that she’s at the actual live-stream, we get to watch and hear Coco sing.”

……

Liu Man had her rear camera turned on, and was pointing at the place where Coco was going to live-stream. At this moment, a few staff were starting to set up different types of equipment and evacuating some crowds.

Coco was there on time. There were screaming everywhere as soon as she appeared. The crowds were all fighting to rush forward. Thankfully, a group of men in black suddenly appeared and blocked the crazy fans a few meters away from the stage.

The temperature was low outside, so Coco was wearing a white puffer coat. Her appearance was still in a cute style, she had her hair put up in a bun. Her pink eyeshadow and lip gloss made her look like a western doll. But if anyone saw the guitar she was holding, they would understand she wasn’t only just a cute girl on the outside, but she was also a very versatile and talented girl.

Coco’s name was being called out all around her. She smiled as she nodded at everyone, her eyes searching around. It took quite a while before she discovered Liu Man, who was pushed to the farthest side.

Coco’s eyes narrowed in moon shapes as her smile got bigger. She waved toward Liu Man, and Liu Man smiled as she waved back.

The audiences in Liu Man’s live-stream saw this scene through Liu Man’s perspective.

“Wow, why do I feel like Coco’s waving at us?”

“Although I know I’m imagining it, my heart still beats really fast. Coco smiled at me! That was sooooooo cute!”

“Princess Man’s angle is legit perfect.”

The male fans in Liu Man’s live-stream all popped out and started to comment. These young men usually like cute girls like Coco. Only Otaku Boy was different, for his comment was stubborn.

“I’m not interested in Coco, I just like sis.”

Liu Man didn’t pay attention to any of her fans’ comments, for she was looking at Coco.

Coco started her speech, “Thank you so much to all of the fans who came to watch me perform, and to those fans who are currently watching live-streams. Thank you for supporting me. I’m glad to be here and to sing for all of you.”

It was really cold as the night wind blew harshly. Coco’s breath turned into white fog as she talked. She wasn’t wearing any gloves, and her hands were starting to turn red from all the freezing.

Liu Man felt cold, too. She stomped her feet a little and held her phone with one hand as she put her other hand into her pocket to keep the warmth. After a while, she switched to another hand. None of the audiences around her were afraid of the cold; they were all too busy aiming their cameras at Coco.

Coco did not waste any time and quickly started to sing. She began with her first famous songs as she played her guitar. It was probably because the effects had to be ensured, a person was playing the electric piano beside her.

Although her songs were more inclined to the ancient china style, they were all easy to understand. One would be able to remember it after listening to it just a few times.

The fans of Coco around Liu Man were all extremely excited, and they sang along with Coco. As they reached the climax of the song, everyone started to sing, and it was like a choir with hundreds of people.

The song could be heard from far away, and many passersby and tourists came to see what was going on out of curiosity. The entire pedestrian mall was like a traffic jam, and nobody could get out or in.

At this moment, Coco’s live-stream reached four hundred thousand viewers, while Liu Man’s live-stream got to twenty-thousand.

After singing five songs in a row, Coco took a short break. She drank a cup of hot water and told her fans, “I think everyone here has already heard my new song, ‘Thinking About You.’ and watched that short video, too. About a month ago, in the capital city, I sang ‘Thinking About You’ for the first time in front of the public. There was a belle who acted as my background.”

Coco paused for a moment to form a cliffhanger. Only a month had passed, so of course, everyone still remembered that video. And the part they remember the most was at the end of the video, when that elegant and formal girl, wearing white Hanfu, appeared. She looked as if she had come straight from ancient China.

As Liu Man heard this, she already had a hunch in her mind. So, this was why Coco invited her over.

Her fans in her live-stream were still confused. However, most of them watched that video, too, and remembered that beautiful girl. No one connected her with Princess Man, though. All of Princess Man’s fans had somehow come to a consensus — Princess Man was a very talented but not so pretty girl.

“Today, it is very fortunate that this pretty girl is also in Shanghai. She’s here and among the crowds. Shall we ask her to come out?”

Coco naughtily announced a huge surprise.

Everyone unconsciously looked around when they heard the news.

Although Liu Man quickly lowered her head, she was still immediately discovered. Someone exclaimed, “She’s here! She’s here!”

Everyone looked this way almost all at once, like searchlights with a thousand gigawatts.

Everyone in the live-stream was confused.

“Huh? Why is everyone looking this way? Is the beauty standing behind sis?”

“Most likely. Princess Man is lucky; she’s right beside a famous person when she randomly picked a spot to stand on.”

“Dear sis, quick, turn your front camera on. I want to see the pretty girl and how she looks! Your perspective would guarantee a close-up.”

“Yeah, yeah. Live-streamer, just film the beauty! You’re right beside her, and this is a rare chance. You will be able to attract even more fans to your live-stream.”

At this moment, Liu Man was too busy to check out the comments. Everyone was staring at her, and the bodyguards evacuated a path in front of her leading straight up to the stage.
