A World Worth Protecting novel is a popular light novel covering Action, Comedy, and Xianxia genres. Written by the Author Er Gen. 1455 chapters have been translated and translation of all chapters was completed.

Summary

By the year 3029 CE, Earth’s technology has developed rapidly, borders no longer exist, and Earth has been unified, marking the beginning of the era of the Federation.

At that time, a huge sword flew from the heavens, piercing the sun and causing a huge sensation on Earth.

Perhaps because the scabbard of the sword was already in tatters, countless shards have broken off from it following the collision with the sun and spread across the universe. Many of these shards have landed on various places across Earth.

With the arrival of the bronze sword and its shards, a new unlimited energy source has suddenly appeared on Earth. This energy source has since been named Spirit Qi.

Spirit Qi is like air, thick in some places and thin in others. As the Federation and other factions gather more shards, they discover more information on cultivation, pill refinement, Spirit Stone refinement, and other techniques. The words on the shards have an ancient feel to them, making it a trend for people to use ancient language.

The appearance of Spirit Qi rapidly makes the original energy sources obsolete and has completely changed people’s lives. Not only has the Spirit Internet been formed, Spirit Qi has also changed the course of Human Civilization, causing the world to enter a civilization of cultivation. This would later come to be known as the Spirit Inception Era.

Am i the only one who considers this the End game novel in the series? Like I have no intentions of reading this till I'm finished with his other books, I think it will be more enjoyable then since I'd be able to spot easter eggs and stuff from the previous novels. Personally I'm more invested to read this novel for the nostalgic effect rather than the plot.

I have mixed feelings about this novel. Out of all er gen novels this is my least favourite. Novel is mid till they get to late mars arc/dark child part is where it starts to pick up. Call me daddy and that 6th grade jokes makes this novel awful and cringe to read, i don’t understand why this author think that’s funny. Also fat jokes are cringe too. This MC is very mid, I find him boring compared to his other novels. This novel was very important in terms of connecting all lose ends from other 3 novels but then we get to mtl when gets most important parts thus ruining the novel. Lastly the romance, like you know ergen cant write romance and its awful. So overall this I’ll give this novel 5.5/10

Su ming died at the end of POT. He gave up his life to create a new world

Su Ming didn't actually die at the end of POT, in ISSTH it is stated that he came back after creating the world, destroyed a finger of Allheaven and left the Vast Expanse Dao Domain to explore outside along with Wang Lin

I think you should read the third novel first, then read the fourth novel. There is no important detail except for a small reference to the third novel at the end of the fourth novel. In my opinion, these are the two most entertaining novels by this author, and the novel before them was a bit heavy, so it might be better to start with these.

Pursuit of the Truth (WN)-3 -Renegade Immortal (WN)-4 -i shall seals the Heavens (WN)-1 -A Will Eternal (WN)-2 -A World Worth Protecting (WN)-5 -Outside of Time (WN)-6 Like that?

Yes. I think if you read them in this order you can better understand the universe the author created. Even though the novels are actually in the same universe, you should read them thinking that they are in different universes. So it doesn't really matter in what order you read them. Also, I find the novels I mentioned very successful in terms of comedy, so I recommended them. I hope you like the author's sense of comedy. I remember my jaw hurting from laughing, especially in the second novel. Of course, it was a long time ago, there's no guarantee that I'd find it as funny if I still read it.

this is the last completed er gen novel as of now, and it was quite good. i really liked the sorta "sci-fi" (can you even call it that?) aspect, especially at the start. however, just saying to whoever tries to read it, around chap 900 ish, the translation will become MTL (machine translation), and its quality will drop harshly. If you don't mind it, go ahead, but I know it can definitely turn off a lot of people.

Out of all the ergen novel this and pursuit of truth have the lowest views maybe because of the ending

Translation quality goes down the drain later in the story. It’s full on MTL

I have finally finished the saga of five books of er gen( RI, POT, ISSTH, AWE, AWWP) it was awesome. They were ups and downs, particularly this book it's not everyone cup of tea. However if you want to know all the mysteries that were threaded since the beginning, you won't be disappointed at how he tied everything together toward the end. It was so epic, each revelations make you remember one of his books and you just grin foolishly, seing the precedents mc make you happy and emotional. And the ending was sad but perfect... Thanks you Er Gen. Now it's time to read his last book Beyond the Timescape less go. Ps: if you're lazy to read it, just comment here and I will spoil you the resume.

I assume you've read the precedent books. Long ago, in a foreign starry sky large amount of people were carrying a funeral. The corpse was an extremely important member of that starry sky. They have for custom to send the coffin in the outside universe to hope for rebirth. The corpse traveled through countless universes before entering the one of our mcs. This universe being the one that carry the legacy of the immortal was special and thus attracted the coffin. The blood of the corpse fused with the coffin making it at its turn fused with that universe and being the wood origin Dao. The way of rebirth was then thwarted from its original course. The soul was divided in two, the first being the Emperor and the second the wood origin Dao. The Emperor was the first lifeform of the er gen universe before the parrot that become its first companion. He created the way of cultivation and for future lifeforms that appeared later... Let's stop here, and tell me if you're confused tell me.

I'm pretty sure that's an official website, so either they lost their rights somehow or he'd have to be banned. It's not the same as this website, which aggregates stories illegally. I do know ww originally had the rights to most of his stories at one point, and Deathblade was the official translator.

those site I read pretty much pirate, but around chapter 900 it become mtl I wonder if I should read cultivation story on this site, character name become wacky in english but if it have proper translation it may worth a try

      • diettweak 18

Well some stories take nearly a decade to translate which is likely why a few you come across become mtl halfway through. Chinese stories have like 5k+ chapters sometimes.
