this is not spoile but you should know, this novel should add « rape » tag. when autor deliberately use aphrodisiac to make them f*ck and acte like « it’s unfortunate MC couldn’t do anything he was druged » that is total b*llsh*t.

Fellow reader, do me a favor and don't read the other negative comments ... the one I'm going to write to you is from a person who read both books, the mortal arc to immortality and his other, his journey in immortality ... this book, his first book, is good and I'll explain why? His world building is by far the best there is, you'll see how time passes in the life of a cultivator ... the MC is a very cautious person, he always thinks well before acting ... this novel is not a harem, of course there are other girls but he only has one wife ... in the end this story left a mark on me a lot because of the journey, this story is a journey, there won't necessarily be a complex plot nearby, no, it's a journey from a mortal to immortality

Super annoying MC that won't tolerate anyone looking like he thinks they're not supposed to. Multiple really bad comments throughout the first hundreds of chapters. Sus that people read so much of this when there are much better novels like LotCG

Read till 645. Got tired with the MC being a f*ck*ng die hard simp. Every jaded beauty shakes his heart, needs his help and he justifies his dao of simping by saying Imma help if there's a reward. When he became a nascent soul cultivator his master(brief) used his identity to renegade her forced marriage by boldly stating she'll be his c*ck s*ck*r. The Mc entertained this. As of rn i believe this is just a harem. Also whenever author mentions jade beauty just know they are already under MC's harem.

Although I haven't read this novel, my brother has and he also hates harem novels with a passion. And according to him this is a 9/10 novel. But if you are looking for a good cultivation novel with NO harem at all, I'd recommend Record of a Demon's Cultivation. Just a heads up though that MC is a demonic cultivator and there things like corpse dissection, soul refinement, and gore etc. If you are uncomfortable reading that then please stay away. Consequently, I want to ask, how can I request LNC moderators or whoever runs this site to include Record of a Demon's Cultivation(RDC) on this website. Thank you...

Dude I wouldn’t consider it a harem. I would encourage you to keep reading if u like what you’ve seen so far, as this aspect of the novel isn’t that overbearing imo.

I feel obligated to write a review for this novel. I would consider myself a loyal fan bcuz it is my first LN, and have read up to 1600~ chapters. RMJI is perhaps as basic as it can get, cultivation wise. He starts of as a mortal, and slowly works his way up the ladder with ZERO special talents/powers -- other than a mysterious bottle which can speed up the growth of medicinal plants. As such, the MC has to be extremely intelligent and cautious to survive in a world where there are many opponents stronger than him. This leads to points where tension is extremely high and engaging to read. I would go as far to say that the first 700 chapters of this novel are honestly PEAK (imo at least) However, after this point I believe the writer just f*cks it up. SPOILERS -- our MC just gets strong compared to his peers and once he transcends to a stronger realm the writer relies on sh*tty forced plot lines, undermines our MC, writes verry sloggy, and regretfully I think I'll have to drop it...

Just to add some context, this novel is the ancestor of most modern cultivation novels, released in 2007. This is the novel that *invented* the qi refining -> foundation establishment -> golden core -> nascent soul -> diety transformation/soul formation cultivation realms that so many novels use today. (Yes, it's still based on older wuxia and daoist fantasy concepts, but this is the novel that put everything together.) It can come off as generic in some ways, but part of that is due to this novel inventing a lot of the tropes that the genre uses today.

Yep I thought it would be smth like that; and it does an amazing job at it. I've almost finished the first book and I have to say the arcs that come after when I dropped it for a little bit are nothing short of peak.

Just read the first volume, its about 100 chapters long and boy was it a disappointment. The pacing is slow which isnt inherently a bad thing but its slow for the sake of being slow. My first problem is the fights are so d*mn boring I could barely read them without falling asleep and we have filler charchters fighting for chapters for absolutely no reason, like in that death battle the 3 elders against that dwarf.Secondly the villians suck especially that dwarf. His intelligence is as much as a toddler, it doesnt even make narrative sense. Lastly he didnt even say goodbye to his mortal family, even so he could have at least given his family some lifespan pills, how selfish and inconsiderate... First volume is a 4/10

It was good, you should give it a try more than listening to others opinion unless you dictate your will upon others interest

Every living entity capable of consciousness dictates their wills to some degree based on others interests. Very poor argument to try to persuade someone to read something, I would say. Would you read something if I insulted you as I suggest it? Everyone should read super gene. Anyone who doesn't is just a fool who has eyes, yet fails to recognize Mount Tai.

go to the DEV option on this site admin frequently posts any issues or major decisions with this site and also checks the comments quite regularly, you can recommend a novel there and also note that there are some requirements of the novel you're recommending before it can truly be taken into consideration, you can scroll through the comments to find those
