Once there, she uses her vast knowledge and skill to become the best thing ever. This novel is very similar to those except the female lead is a forensic anthropologist instead of a doctor. Now, some people might think that it's a good thing the novel is not just treading the same old path as every other story and wants to change things to stand out from the crowd. Unfortunately, the change in this novel makes the story seem significantly more contrived. In every other story, everywhere the main character goes, she happens upon some random person needing medical assistance and uses her super doctor powers to save the day. In this story, instead of stumbling upon a variety of medical emergencies, everywhere the main character goes she encounters a murder mystery. Peaceful inn in the middle of nowhere? Murder mystery. Fancy restaurant in a bustling city? Murder mystery. This is what makes things feel contrived. No matter how common and formulaic the "transmigrated physician" story is, people in need of medical assistance are far more common than murder mysteries. So when the main character encounters murder mystery after murder mystery, you can't help but feel how convenient it is that the main character just happened to be in the right place at the right time over and over again.
