This novel is a waste of time (but it's good), I will explain below why, read only if you want because it's a spoiler. The MC from the beginning is an Ultimate Being (strongest realm) but we only get to know this in the end. He created some type of "simulation" to help his family reach Thrid Realm (second strongest realm) because if you are bellow that your mind will crumble when a lot of time passes, like trillions of years. So far it's ok, but the entire novel focuses only on the protagonist going from the weakest to the strongest, even though he is already an Ultimate Being, we don't get to see his family reaching Third Realm, only his grandpa is one, but like the MC he is one from the beginning and we only get to know it in the end. Despite this, the novel is somehow interesting, I would give it 7.5/10
Where's the grandma. Even after finishing it long ago, it comes to my mind 😭
left this comment on the final chapter but thought i should leave it here as well, overall was quite fun and an interesting take on cultivation, i still enjoyed the earlier sections especially since I enjoy IET novels in general, but I found myself not really caring towards the end, the length of the time skips was getting out of hand and I wasn't finding myself connected to the characters as much anymore, overall definitely not among IET's better works, but i would consider this an experiment and hopes it'll give him opportunities to write better novels in the future. Can only hope his next will be more like Desolate Era or Lord Xue Ying ;-;
I liked all of IET novels but God, he's terrible at timeskips and he keeps getting worse. This latest one, Cosmic Professional Gladiator had so many timeskips and they're terrible. Even tho I liked the novel, it's almost like reading a summary and not a story. I hated time skip that just goes '2 years went by' like, dude, how many paragraphs are there in a chapter? How many sentences? Break them down can't you. Use a sentence to describe the weeks, paragraph to describe the months. That would only take like 10% of the chapter length but it flows so much better. Towards the upper middle part, it got so much worse, at one point I think there's a timeskips every 2 chapter and it went like the example above. Even after that, when getting into a new arc and he arrived at a brand new world and new power system and got so much to explore, it literally timeskips in the very next chapter he arrived, that part really p*ss*s me off and ruined the immersion
Man I was so intrigued when I read the summary… and then it mentioned VR… bruh…
What chapter the cosmic battle begin?
chapter 806 (finale)(2/9) ig we finally reached the end of the story, guess author got bored
Petition to change the novel title to something a little bit less... you know?!
Book is done
ill probably wait until its finished, but IET never fails to entertain me
