I started this LN and dropped it thrice. Then, this time, I decided to fight through the bad translation and complete it. It was worth it. Penelope's personality is a refreshment from most FLs of other LNs. Despite Penelope's flaws, she still considered a character with depth. She doesn't break away from her character and if I, personally, throw myself in her shoes, I'd do the same. Her actions have consequences and it's nice to see that they are real consequences. đź’Ż
Dropped, novel okay at start but when it reached part when the “real heroine appeared” goes down ward for me. She knows she has brainwashing power, but do nothing at start expose her. Idk why people say she smart and like her as she kept blaming everyone around her like it their fault even though she knew they were brainwashed. Sure she may have ptsd from her past or somewhat but Jesus Christ do something about it instead complaining and blaming everyone expect yourself
I've read this until the very end and it's a satisfying one, not the best, for sure, but it does the work for ending the story properly without any missing points. Pros : Characters' depth, consistent plot with a good twist, conflict/drama between characters, emotional parts Cons : Sometimes too dense protagonist, characters' likeability Conclusion: It's a story that's more centered around the relationships, themes and morality of the characters than the characters themselves. To read if you're the most interested in the emotions procured by the story than anything else, because almost all of Ml's are drama kings, wich makes them annoying, at best. (+ translation is horrible go read the manhwa instead)
A rare "transmigration into a game" with actual substance. I just don't like female protagonists though. The author really wants us to feel empathy to w*men.
Nice, I don't think I understand too much about the genre, it's not exactly my type of reading but I tried seeing that it's very discussed. I think it's well done, the dynamics and iteration between characters and MC are particular and interesting. MC and his system are the strong point, MC I think one of the most abused I've read, and his revenge against the family is gratifying. Then the system that asks to gain the favor of the boys and starts this post is interesting and fun. All in all I'll give it 4/5, it's an enjoyable read
I read this novel to see what a novel with a fl protagonist was like, and I confess that I ended up being quite surprised, even the way they show emotions is all so incredible
3 stars is considered as average. The translations are atrocious and the pronounces are all over the place. In some parts, the translator even admitted that they do not know what it means or that it makes no sense! I have high expectations from the manhwa but this is crossing the barrier to the underworld. Additionally, the translator dropped notes over the immersive parts that ruined my reading experience. Normally, I do not mind as they also express the reader's feelings. However, not every exciting part needs annotes. Moving on, the main antagonist could have been killed by literally any of the other characters but they keep making excuses. The female lead also tried too hard to portray the "independent traumatic bad girl". It just ends up overcomplicating the plot. There are uses of the misunderstanding troupe which I abhorred. The story had much-wasted potential, overshadowed by the terrible translation and cliches. I felt that I am being too generous.
This was such a good story and I loved how everything connected and also h** clever and brave Penny was and omg the golden callisto was just awesome. The story and ending was so good and fulfilling that I have no complains.
It was a nice read, I enjoyed pretty much how the relationships evolved. I just wished the ML that didn't end with her could have a happy ending too (although I don't complain for two of them). The only bad point I can give to the story is that the FL is really dense sometimes but I can expect it from her past so it kinda checks up, and the translation is not consistent. . .
It’s great until the real villain shows up. Then the story falls off a cliff. Nothing that happens from that point on makes any sense. The villain clearly knows the MC is her enemy but constantly behaves like a stranger when they’re alone. They have some sort of history that she brings up and then behaves as if they’re strangers for no reason. The MC goes out of her way to escalate and prolong problems for herself. Literally half the people around her including the MC herself could kill the villain instantly but the MC refuses. She even withholds revealing information that the villain already knows that the MC knows. Maybe it’s the poor translations but really it just makes no sense halfway through.
