Nice story if you're reading this just leave after the marriage and having kids and don't read the MLTs it just leave a empty felling after the good ending and it's not complete.

Same. It was a long time ago, but I still remember it fondly. A much better early read than most other novels out there. It has also lead to quite a few other novels adopting similar premises, some of which are pretty good.

Same. This was literally the very first webnovel I ever read. Coming back to it, god it has flaws, but it still has a special place in my heart.

im strict on harem and it was done horribly in this and the ending is very rushed and in some cases even if the ending is rushed it still feels good and it being rushed only means it could've been better but isn't bad but in this series case its rushed and bad. other than me not liking the ending the series also has the very annoying female trope. also i don't remember the mc leaving me any impression if you don't care about that stuff that much then definitely read it

Not horrible: it finishes up all plot threads, and nothing is left unanswered. Though it certainly doesn’t feel as climactic as it could be. The after stories are nice though :)

It's a good story, it has good character development, very good comedy, good romance and the ending, although rushed, is good. It's a short and fun read, 8/10.

ah yes, the first novel I ever read. Almost 3 years ago I thought Everyone Else is a Returnee was peak fiction. OP MC, fight scenes more descriptive than my failed love life, weapon crafting, a HAREM?!??!?!?, and 'plot'. It had everything that I was subconsciously looking for. 3 years later...I am a chronic entertainment binge-reader of manga and novels, and other than one piece, I can only watch anime in 2x/4x speed now

Solo leveling while it doesn’t deserve to be higher should be at the peak for manhwas, it is much more suited to be a manhwa. Also while it may seem like every other leveling system novel that’s because all of them took heavy inspiration (they added zero twist and make almost every new leveling novel just the same boring remake) that’s why necromancer novels are so popular and overused. Just like sao while in today’s standards is not that great, it was what everything after it was based on. As a LN is not solo levelings best representation, just as berserk was way more suited to manga then as an animated show.

Hot take:solo leveling story sucks and it really ain't the peak of manhwa,I've seen tons of other manhwas with better story and fight scenes than SL but because solo leveling fans are blinded by nostalgia, solo leveling is automatically no.1 in manhwa industries (people like this haven't even scratched the surface of manhwas)

There are better novels now but it set the standard, if you go on manhwa sites now a good portion will be necromancy novels, it blew up the genre and introduced many people who hadn’t experienced manhwa to manhwa. It’s like comparing new incredible machines to old rusty ones, it’s hard to compare as the old rusty ones where what led to the growth and creation of new machines while my analogy might not be the greatest think of it somewhat as standing on the shoulders of giants.

Yeah but then I see people saying "after solo leveling, everything else I read is so boring",like dawg what exactly did you read

I liked solo leveling because when I was reading it I was a depressed hs senior procrastinating his college essays as much as possible. After reading SL I felt so inspired by ARISE that finished all my essays in 2 days 💯but yea sure it’s not peak fiction it’s still peak in being able to enjoy it

Both SL novel and manhwa were good, although of course the manhwa is better to read

Is cultivation chat group worth my time and haven't you read my house of horrors

        Reply
      • demonlord0 14

I read my house of horrors but I dropped it around 300s. It’s a wonderful story, but after a while I got bored with the mc’s haunted house trope (ex: pro haunted house team A says they have such a good haunted house, mc picks up actual ghosts, scares the duck out of team A; team b appears, etc); it’s most definitely a more laid back story. Cultivation chat group is most definitely worth the first 300 chapters. It’s more of a cultivation parody story with a lot of freedom, but literally every single chapter is somewhat comical, interesting, or both. The chat group element is easily one of the most entertaining parts of any novel I’ve seen #ThriceRecklessIsMyGoat; although after around 1600s you know what to expect from the story. If you get into CCG you’re most likely going to have to wait 2 years for translations to finish (English version at 2200, 3100 chapters total)

Ho-how??? Shadow slave is way better than Overgeared and overall better than ending maker. Heck it's arguably better than Reverend Insanity. I can accept that it's not your taste(there are quite a few things people might not like) but anything other than peak fiction is Bs. Ho-how??? SS being argubly better than Reverend Insanity is an insane take lmao but yea id have to agree with SS being better than overgeared, ending maker, and ORV (just started the novel couple days ago and boy oh boy ORV is literally just The Novel's Extra done correctly) I only have overgeared rated so high because it was the first web novel that I really enjoyed and the virtual reality game was interesting up until 1400s SS is just a really conflicting series for me it has really high highs but sometimes I just find it boring. Sunny is easily the most interesting character in there, love how hes a little immature but hes grown so much from the beginning, and I hate how he gets overshadowed by Nephis and the prince of nothing after all that effort he puts in. Hopefully it gets up to peak fiction for me after I read the chapters ive stacked after antartica

I've pretty much read everything in this list of yours except for ending maker and I think that SCOG and kidnapped dragons definitely shouldn't be in the beginner list and should be in the moderate list. As for shadow slave it should be in a semi PEAK list if that's even a thing since it's really good but the grammar mistakes are too much and the author should rewrite some parts of the story. The rest of your list is fine

yea kidnapped dragons was actually really nice, and so was SCOG until the end; last SCOG boss battle was so boring but it was so bingeworthy for like 300 chapters seol's ex sucks major b*lls*ck tho read ending maker sh*ts enjoyable I actually havent finished kidnapped dragons, im 100 chapters away and I might just re-read it cuz I forgot everything As for shadow slave I have mixed opinions, cuz for me First nightmare was peak, chained islands was aight, second nightmare was peak, while antartica was clean until bro ran into 4 tyrants in a row I got so bored reading. I'm definitely gonna stack like 1000 chapters cuz I can't be binging ss or im going to go crazy
