I’ve read about a 100 chapters so far and here are my thoughts: 1° As with most asian webnovels, there is a degree of “women to the kitchen” thinking but it doesn’t come up often. 2° The world building in general seems quite good, although it was sometimes hard for me to discern wether the action was taking place in VR or irl when MC went between the two. 3° My biggest gripe is the MC himself. Contrary to the ideas I had at the start, his lack of societal knowledge is mostly used as cheap comedic relief in the form of dialogue with his split-personality mech buddy. The guy also show an astounding degree in the lack of curiosity about anything related to functioning in a society, which, I suspect, is the byproduct of using his ignorance as cheap comedy. He doesn’t seem curious about the world, unless the knowledge of a concept is imperative in the moment, which half the time doesn’t matter as MC promptly forgets about most people he has ever come across.
Its pretty good, mechs are easy to picture which I usually struggle with, id consider this the best mech novel ive read as I don't think the legendary mechanic is a mech novel, mc is interesting to say least, and the fmc is pretty cool, an interesting romance lol but fitting given they're character, either way Imma put on hold as I'm more into slice of life stuff recently
It's quite interesting i read but not for me 🙃
So from the comment below me, I guess people don't know the meaning of naive or ruthless. Naive just means that they don't think through everything and most likely go with the flow/instinct. Ruthless is just not sparing enemies. I will give a example as well. Like a cautious protag will enter a bar and look at everyone to determine the information and see threats. A naive protag on the other hand will just go to the bar and order a drink without really thinking about the dangers. Could is overconfidence or ignorance.
Why is there both 'naïve protagonist' and 'ruthless protagonist' tag ??
I lost braincells reading this lul fjvfhdtdsdyhfuvgt8ffr7gfuguhdfghvvddruhgtyygfdugfdfutrrrgggbbbuuhgdsssszzd
Do i have to shutdown my brain reading this?
Based from the summary alone I would say this is trash
What is even going on? They're all on a virtual reality thing, but they act as if they're in life-or-death battles. Why are they all so serious, and talking about ending up in a hospital or dying?
