Summary

    Ranking is nothing in this website. Trash novel like super gene used to be in top 2 in this website. But this novel is a rare one. A lot of people will like it. Hope the author continues with a new novel. Edit:- found out that this guy has another novel in top 20. Good, let's read that in 3 months after it's over.

      This novel tells many of surprising info which literally makes u reflect on our modern-day society. And u actually see character development happening gradually in a way that makes complete sense rather than a force growth for plot progression which is very discernable.

    Ah yeh Xianxia tag, shut I didn't see it. It's typical shounen, with a lot of sudden friendship along the journey. More friends = more power. Which is yeah, too emotional. Basically heroes with heart of drama queen. I'm not interested on old style MC.

      Its not. This is literally one of the best novel to exist. It has alot of plot twist and not ur normal Xiaxia novels. Just read it first dude. Did u even know that only a couple weeks ago this was ranked 98th?. Which was when I first read it. And when I finished it was ranked 19 until yesterday. And now its ranked 12. Does this not tell u anything?

        I guess but whatever I may see from this point on will be negated cuz ur perception regarding this matter is already altered which even tho I might reply in the most logical way ever u would find ways to prove me that I am wrong until u are at the focal point of denial. Anyways I think this novel is toptier just as others say. Well its all up to u to believe it. After all, this isnt the only godtier novel out there.

      From what I see is that Chinese novels have less character depth than the Korean ones and korean ones have that hypocritical ideological bantering and emotional charecters.

        And in Japanese ones there's just some bit of everything. Sure there are many good novels out there but there are just so many more terrible ones too but most of us don't read those because those aren't often as translated to a language we read in whether it English or otherwise.

        Not the person you asked but I will offer my opinion. Chinese, Korean and Japanese novels generally have the same quality range of novels. However, with Chinese novels some good ones are restricted by the government b/c of their censorship laws (Ex: Reverend Insanity - haven't read this one but heard it was pretty good). Also the ones spouting Chinese nationalism are obviously given more support by the government. For Korean ones, there are good ones (personally loved omniscient reader's viewpoint) but you can see a lot of hate against Japan but that's mainly because many Koreans still haven't forgiven the Japanese for what they did during WW2 (also the fact that the Japanese government refuses to apologize for many of the atrocities they committed). Still generally more fair than Chinese ones. View on Japanese novels on separate reply.

        Yeah the Chinese nationalism really ruins my opinion on Chinese novels They go too far on this topic to the point that it made hate the china to a certain high degree.

    I prefer the sword god novel but this is also an okay book to me when compared to the usual servings of horseshlop on this site. Author has a habit to try and subvert expectations, which isn't a bad thing by itself but things like eating sh*t without flinching to prove will power aren't very necessary, in my opinion. Book frens may disagree
