the plot is 50/50 but with the story not absolutely s*ck*r punching you with the romance. I would say it's worth the time. the main problem that I have with it is the lack of back round and when you get the background information it is shotgun blasted in your face.
A surprisingly good read. The setting is intriguing and the author makes a good job to depict a rich World along with it's history. MC is scheming and ruthless at the beginning but have a real personality development as the story goes. The sole female lead is precious and bring a breaty of fresh air with it's interactions with MC. I've seen some review criticize how the background of the MC makes it impossible for others to schemes against him but I think they missed the point that he still has to play by the sales rules as others and by no mean is he safe from losing his privileges. Overall a good story that deserve to be given a chance.
Definitely a novel worth reading, it needs more chapters but unfortunately it is not updated quickly. 260 chapters are seriously insufficient. Anyway, as I said, the novel is very good. I have been looking for a novel like this for a long time, a novel that includes war and romance at the same time. And as a plus there is no harem inside. Vaan is wild and funny, especially the poisonous words and curses he says add a nice atmosphere, but it would be nice if he looks a little more like a real ruler in the future. and his fiancée. . . I really liked Elara's character, even though she is quite timid and shy, she develops further in the following chapters, especially the craziness she shows when she drinks is really satisfying. I hope we see more craziness in the future. And another thing I want to say is seriously how is this novel at rank 112? It should definitely be higher.
Fun read but Not that good compare to those quality novel we have here. I enjoyed it even though the cliche are repetitive in some ways but overall it's just not it.
story is in it's world building phase not much info is given story is typical mc is op (not above all) have violent tendencies. but still nice read for time pass. any questions are appreciated.
Characters are shallow. Mc is extremely dumb for his age. His «underworld» personality is dumb. A gang leader doesnt have to be extreme with his own methodes he would probably have others for that. How alcohol is portrayed is also dumb. Alcohol wont have an immediate effect like here and it wont necessarily make you violent. And if you drink yourself till blackout like here you will have severe problems fighting its dumb af. World building is ok. Not much has been explained yet but the build up of the Vesta family was decent enough although the Vestas seem to have tons of 5th circle which seem to be extremely scant otherwise which I find highly unrealistic.
This novel deserves a 5 star. Story is complex but also simple. The magic system fluctuates from spirits, to magic circles, to comprehension of magic principles which is quite interesting. There’s also swordsmanship and aura which is typical in these magic fantasies but we have yet to see full capabilities of their power. The mc and sole female lead are a breath of fresh air and their interactions and the way the mc uses his weakness at times to spur his fiancé into action is always really funny. The mc is just a genius and is able to do stuff with majic others cant. But the story makes a good point of him working towards it. The story also does a good job of showing how this originally reckless character becomes more rational while maintaining his scheming side throughout the story progression. A real shame it has a low rating bc its quite enjoyable…
[ch 95] The author had an interesting idea: MC being from the strongest family in the world, very OP mom for MC and he is the only one who can see spirits, that makes him break all the current laws of magic. However, unless you like logic or common sense, then don't bother reading this novel. Here's why: 1) The author gave insane of a cheat to MC since like chapter 5, which I don't mind at all and actually liked it, but the problem is that MC is spending 3rd of the novel making schemes. So here are 2 ways MC could go: 1) Chill with his family for like 2 years, and get everything his schemes could give him with his power in just 1 chapter, because of his cheats and insane talent OR 2) Spend a 3rd of the novel scheming, however it's impossible for any of MC's enemies to scheme back vs him, because they simply have no chance to do anything, when MC has his family (his mom) protecting him, so the schemes are so boring, because they are very one sided. Not to mention, that the MC almost died, because of his schemes. So basically, instead of doing literally nothing and just training, the MC almost killed himself twice by trying to use his brain. Also it's worth mentioning, that the author is very bad at making schemes. 2) Classic stupid characters, who try to kill MC in their anger fully knowing that they will die if the MC dies because of them. There are few times this happen, but here is my "favourite" one: One old mage sees his son burning alive and screaming and is about to get killed by the MC, so what do you think the old mage will do? Of cource save his son. . . NO! He wont save his son! And actually instead he is trying to kill the MC despite fully knowing that MC's mom (the strongest mage and maybe the strongest person in the world) is watching the battle. Not even thousand mages like the old mage could take down MC's mom, yet he is still trying to kill her son in front of her despite knowing that he will die if he succeeds. Anyway, the idea of the novel was decent, it's just to make any of the MC's efforts in schemes worthwhile reading, the author should have made some real opposition in MC's family instead of his mom being so op, that she could simply wipe all of it by herself and author needs to learn how to write any decent schemes at all. if you want a serious novel then don't bother with it, but if you don't care much and want to chill you can try it.
A good novel indeed. The way that the mc think and act is what turns her so good. He is a gangster in a magic world, and is a son of a amazing family, so we can see him acting like a arrogant b*st*rd all the time. It's preety good to pass the time, i recommend.
I feel like this is far underrated the story telling and power system is as good as martial unity or shadow slave which both are top ten this story is great I would recommend to let chapters stack
As you said, I think what the mage did was irrational, but the mage also lost his son, so it's normal for him to go crazy (even though what he did was stupid and irrational). But If you have only read about 95 chapters, I recommend you to read it to the end. Yes, Mc is really a bit stupid at the beginning and it cannot be said that he is very mature, but in the following chapters, Mc changes a little, as if he has become more mature and I think he will develop even more in the future. And if the story seems boring to you, I think you shouldn't worry about it. It may still be 260 chapters, but I think the story will be better. New things will come to the story, such as "reviving the God of Magic", making the Vesta family the strongest and most powerful family, fighting Churches, fighting Demons and more.
