I read this a bit more than a year ago and boy it was a journey. For those that are considering whether to pick it up or not, it's a solid 4/5 world building is alright, enemies r a bit cliche but its an enjoyable read, there will be some parts lacking and some parts are pretty d*mn good. But my favorite part was when the dude lost and that sh*t was pretty d*mn far into the story. I can't say its a big spoiler either ya know, just winning and losing is kinda just life or death in most of these stories so majority of authors have an MC that never lose no matter what and its so downright boring and cliche, yes this dude is gonna steamroll, yes hes gonna have some plot armor, yes there's gonna be a few plot holes, but they aint enough to break the overall story. Unfortunately i really gave the sequel True Martial World a shot and kept going for a while because there were some characters from this one but it really didnt get good at any point, it was really hard to read.

Gave this novel another chance & I’m surprised to say it’s actually pretty good, there was a time where I used to look down upon this novel after reading only 33 chapters, sure it’s got its cliche & generic moments but the characters feel very & not just like some npcs, on ch 140 rn it’s a fun read, Lin Ming is an interesting Mc who doesn’t really need scheme but let’s his fists do the talking, he’s not a schemer but is ruthless when he needs to be, he kinda reminds me of Linley & Ji Ning from coiling dragon & a desolate era.

Honestly, I'm very disappointed. I've read 800 chapters of this, and throughout all those chapters, I swear this man, lin ming, has not had a single difficult fight. Every single fight, he just rolls over his opponents it gets repetitive. None of the fights are memorable because he literally never breaks a sweat. Nine star hegemon body arts did that way better, tbh you could feel the desperation in the fights with Long Chen. Besides ling ming himself is a pretty boring guy. There is nothing special to remember him by at all. And don't get me started on how every side character just gets chucked to the side soon as lin ming out grows them. Even his own wife💀 There are so many characters that had amazing potential that are just never mentioned again after a certain point. I don't think I'll pick this up again, tbh and I don't think it deserves its ranking

This is good critique, absolutely agree with some points here. I did read the whole thing a bit over a year ago and i think I was just really bored at the time. Don't get me wrong, yes he hasn't had any difficult fights but its been made clear how big of a cheat he had starting off, I don't remember where you left off and its been too long to tell you when it really gets interesting. He does lose but it happens far off. The author definitely should've renamed it to something like "My path to Divinity" or something along those lines, because it truly is a story about him reaching the peak.

To each their own but he's definitely had a lot of fights where he nearly died, even early on. Also some prefer this, with how fast Lin Ming cultivates, you need plot armour bs to be able to keep characters relevant, that's not used here, well not much.
