Okay so I have an real original theory: Sunny was constantly warned about what he wished. As well as from his future self. Since he is free from shackles of fate, considering the concept of fate which is predetermined end or journey and it connects us to those destined to be with us. So, what if after breaking fate everyone in cohort forget about him? Or only neph since his fate was Intertwined with her the most. That was the reason that the answer was oblivion

to those saying the cohort wont forgive and understand sunny leaving for the tomb... there's no reason for the cohort to hold a grudge against sunny. Cassie would've most likely covered for him when he left by providing them with enough information that they don't feel like they were abandoned. I mean sh*t. the 3 mcs (sunny,neph,cassie) entire purpose is beating and breaking fate...so for the cohort to condemn sunny for taking that step would be utterly brain dead. even the way he phrased leaving to cassie should say enough about it not being a betrayal "Let's do it Cas, let's break fate!" he's not betraying them, in any case he's supporting them greatly. If there was no need for him to be at that final battle to ensure their victory, it makes all the more sense that he left for the tomb to gain not only freedom but knowledge. think about it guys. also them Gods are b*tch*s and I'm glad dream Gods lineage swallowed shadow'sšš
