Solo Max-Level Newbie

this novel is a masterpiece. the world building is interesting, the plot is cliché but it is written well. No one complaint about the same genre as long as it is interesting and not boring, right? Also the MC is smart and manipulative and the progress of the story is obviously the best among the best (my personal opinion) Overall my rating is 5 out 5.

I only dropped it after twenty chapters so don’t let this solely decide your opinion, but I ran into some glaring issues… First off there is no explanation of what the game is. There is no explanation for the skills, or what unique skills really are. It is already inconsistent with my gaining his unique skill but later they say everyone’s carries over? Additionally, one part of the plot is how he is remaining at level one in order to beat some of the higher stages. It is easily inferable that he played at level one when he beat the game, yet the game is treated like an mmo? How can he “claim” the opportunities when he restated? Is there servers? Along with that, there are supposed veterans who are friends and played with the mc, but at the very beginning he claims that no one besides him passed stage twenty. They also seem to have no idea about his capabilities. There are a lot of face slaps in the novel with half of the story so far being reactions… in my opinion these are glaring red flags that you should know about.

Although it lacks a fair bit on the characters development other than the mc, his self-proclaimed rival and his pet mosquito, the comedy and world building are top tier, the power system is confusing at some points, but the mc always explain what, why and how he does his shenanigans in either his mental monologues or just to rub it on the opposition lol This one is a really fun experience, if one can deal with the absolute trainwreck of the translation, I personally was really enjoying it until the mtl part, good luck to yall

The manhwa is good for those who have already read it, the novel is also very good, I sincerely recommend it to you. I recommend the manhwa to newbies and it's the same studio as solo leveling
