Amazing novel with great story and world building what i like the most is that every move the MC do drive the story forward so there's rarely boring moments infact even the filler and build up is interesting. Lets talk about the MC he is not a saint, figuratively and literally, he is a petty mf that will payback 100 times if someone dares to cross him but there's something that made him quite likeable, he always keep his word even to his enemies well not always but you get what i mean, also he's not afraid to play dirty and will use any means possible to win there's also the fact that he previously the phoenix patriarch so he have many trick up his sleeve and the early level doesnt take too long. The translation is good so i say its worth a read if you like cultivation novel
