One of the best anime out there, The same can be expected for the novel too. So satisfying in world building and power systems. The characters are also amazing. It has decent romance arcs. Lots of emotional moments which made it worth reading and watching. Anime rating is 9+. So, you should watch it once and feel it's worth. And after finishing, you can finish the novel.

A great story which can actually be read despite having the "ongoing status". Chapters are very long, so there is much more content that the amount of chapters suggest and the arcs are finished. The story itself is pretty good and brings up questions about AI or virtual reality that are more actual than ever! Can only recommend.

Well, the Light Novel of Sword Art Online was awarded the "Best novel of the Decade(2010 - 2019)" in Japan. That should speak of it's quality.
