The Primal Hunter

Overall this is quite a lovely book. Good plot, nice flow, decent grammar, not much more to ask for. My only gripe would have to be with the fact that the author is pulling a common trope and making the MC good at both alchemy and fighting and splitting much of the time between the two. Not necessarily a bad thing but its not as skillfully pulled off as I would like, but really that's just a minor complaint. Overall its a nice binge-able story with a heck ton of readable chapters that you can sink your teeth into.

The story is good, the plot is unpredictable, and the world is semi-unique with the introduction of records, era universe integration, etc. , which pulls it apart from your generic system constellation flunk. Characters are developed well (though some could use work), although I don't appreciate how he seems to build a harem. I know the author attempted to address this by mentioning how Jake was aware, with even other characters joking, but he decided to add a god to the harem anyway. I genuinely like the story, but if there was one thing that brings it far below novels like Shadow Slave or LOTM, it is the carcass one-piece level sh*t* pacing. I find myself skipping chapters because I know that nothing impactful will happen. DESPITE THAT, if you have the patience, then I would say this is a GOOD READ, but it could be better in many ways.

It has a good start until those gods or constellations whatever got involved. It's frustrating that I don't get to like this but. I will leave 4 stars because I haven't read the whole yet I'm in the 1st volume heck so earlyto drop, I will probably re-read this after getting used to this type plot.

the interactions between villy and jake are entertaining to read. the plot develops pretty well compared to most light novels I've seen on here. overall good read so far.

An amazing novel with a very good story telling, Extremely well developed characters with unique abilities, even secondary characters are given the same attention, development and even abilities that are many times better than some novels, I cannot recommend this novel enough.

Im skipping the good things. I hate how the author keep giving mc more power up but he is the protagonist so it doesn't really matter. Look at the skills he's getting at every level up, it has mostly rare or something and not in common. Most of the time, there would be the best rank skill and he would obviously choose that. It is also not immersive compare to other novels.

Deff recommend. Before anything I just have to say that the power system with records and such is really interesting. But most importantly this story doesn’t have your usual main character personality. By that I mean he usually doesn’t think things through, take the optimal path, or go with the flow and these things sometimes get under people’s skin. His personality it literally the Primal Hunter and its uniqueness is part of the flavor of this story.

My reviews at the comment section but overall started nice then turned boring, boring personality projected by author himself, mc is hella hypocritical as well, not particularly smart reasons for powerups, overall disappointing

Pretty good novel. The most annoying part about this novel is its random fillers of new characters that have nothing to do with the story, at least not where I am at.

I enjoyed this story. This review is written after 850 chapters and here are my thoughts and highlights of the book. The idea of a system is certainly not something new, but I appreciate some new ideas and applications. Also while this story does belong to this “OP MC” category there are many people who are stronger and even enemies on a similar level as the protagonist. So why 5 Stars from me? I love the writing style and also the fact how the author uses big parts for his world building. And yes while this fact sometimes makes the pace of the story slow, I personally think it is well proportioned. So yeah great job author.
