Coco had just finished her third live steam in Shanghai when her agent received a call from Xue Yunfei. The group was about to leave Shanghai.

The company that Coco’s agent worked for was a small album company, under which there were some cyber singers and unknown third-tier singers. All of their reputations were not even worth mentioning. The company mainly relied on live-streams and bar performances to operate and make money. They only produced albums for particularly good singers, like Coco, who could write lyrics, compose, and sing. After all, nobody would buy an album from an unfamous singer, so the company would only lose more money; plus, it cost them extra time and labor.

Coco was now the pillar of their company, a cornucopia in the eyes of the boss, but even so, they never expected Coco to cooperate with an official top-tier musician.

The agent hurried to knock on the door of Coco’s room.

“The door is unlocked.”

“We will not be leaving today,” the agent said as he pushed open the door.

Number three, Coco owns “Thinking About You”, but Galaxy Films owns “Thinking About Her.” Coco had no right to disagree with whatever Galaxy Films decided to do with “Thinking About Her” in the future. Number four, Coco had to participate in the recording of “The Sound of the Wind.” The copyrights of “The Sound of the Wind” will remain with Galaxy Films. Number five, everything is confidential. Before Ye Zian and Xue Yunfei gave permission, she could not reveal any information about the movie or the songs.

That same day, Coco and Xue Yunfei managed to sign the copyright contract.

After the contract was signed, Xue Yunfei handed the script of “The Sound of the Wind” to Coco, “Read over the script so you can get familiar with the plot. Remember, the lyrics of ‘Thinking About Her’ must be centered around the plot.”

“Okay, okay,” Coco immediately answered.

Nowadays, people made friends online, and everyone used a nickname or an alias. If two were happily chatting with each other, it was strange to suddenly ask someone what their real name was. Coco only had Liu Man’s WeChat, and her nickname was ‘MAN.’ Coco thought Liu Man meant ‘men’ in English, and she even thought this alias was cool.

Coco’s WeChat name was Cocoa Beans; it was an alias. Even the name, ‘Coco’, was fake. Her real name was Zhu Co, but ever since she started publishing songs online, she rarely used her real name. Now, except for her family, nobody would call her Zhu Co.

“You young people nowadays… I’m impressed,” Xue Yunfei was speechless, “Liu Man was the one who recommended you to me. She’s the one you should say thanks to.”

Coco froze, but Xue Yunfei continued,

“Since you don’t know Liu Man, I will kindly introduce you to her. It’s winter break for her, and her part-time job is to act as an extra in ‘The Sound of the Wind.’ She’s a piano major and hasn’t been in the entertainment circle before. I don’t know if she will try developing her career this way after the movie gets published.”

No wonder she came to Shanghai, Coco thought. She now confirmed her thought on Liu Man being a gift from God. Ever since she met Liu Man, her entire life had been heading to success.

When she met Liu Man at the music-themed restaurant, her song, ‘Thinking About You’, went on fire even before it got published. She and her company both earned lots of profit.

When she met Liu Man at the pedestrian mall live-stream, Coco’s Wei Bo, Tiktok, and live-stream platform all gained two times their original fan count. She earned three hundred thousand RMB just from that one night of live-stream.

And now, she even received Xue Yunfei’s approval because of Liu Man, paving her path to success in the music society.

Coco, from deep in her heart, appreciated Liu Man and confirmed Liu Man as her great friend.
