Trash of the Count's Family (백작가의 망나니가 되었다) is a Korean isekai webnovel series written by Yoo Ryeo Han (유려한) in the Action, Comedy, and Fantasy genres. The novel is still ongoing though it is currently on-hiatus due to the author's family circumstances. There are currently 7 volumes, some chapters have been translated into English and translations of other chapters are in progress.

Synopsis

Beginning with the awakening of our main character, Kim Rok Soo, in a different world, he finds himself possessing the body of a minor villain inside of the novel [The Birth of a Hero]: Cale Henituse. As he tried to avoid being beaten up as in the original novel, his actions directly lead to the original plot derailing and he finds himself dragged into the center of many conflicts happening in the world.

Summary

I can't be a trash forever...

When I opened my eyes, I was inside a novel.

[The Birth of a Hero].

[The Birth of a Hero] was a novel focused on the adventures of the main character, Choi Han, a high school boy who was transported to a different dimension from Earth, along with the birth of the numerous heroes of the continent.

I became a part of that novel as the trash count (tcf), the family that oversaw the territory where the first village that Choi Han visits is located.

The problem is that Choi Han becomes twisted after that village, and everyone in it, are destroyed by assassins.

The bigger problem is the fact that this stupid trash who I’ve become doesn’t know about what happened in the village and messes with Choi Han, only to get beaten to a pulp.

“…This is going to be a problem.”

I feel like something serious has happened to me.

But it was worth trying to make this my new life.

Can anyone tell me if there’s a good amount of violence and how the grammar quality is?

I know I am asking for too much but can anyone recommend something similar to this? Where mc is like Cale?

The Extra’s Academy Survival Guide. This novel is very different from any academy novel. The MC is mature unlike most pubescent MCs. such as cale, klein, dokja. they just want to survive in a strange world.

The harem develops at the end of the story and the romance doesn't really have an impact on the story, just as a topping for the cake at the end. You have to read it. The romance flows naturally. really great story, I promise you will love the mc.

Bing reading is bad when reading something containing these things: * Long and/or many chapters * Exciting chapters * Lots of things happened And guess what? Tcf is all of that! And I’m the *d**t who even when told not to, bing read this. I can now barely remember anything between the plaza bombing and the start of part 2. And what am I going to do about it? Read it all again. I’m kind of happy that I can’t remember much since I get to experience reading it again. So moral of this post: if you bing read, you get to read it again and have the same experience twice

Is there any romance, or a hint that there will be romance in this novel?

I read till like 350 -400 chapters like geez 3 or 4 years ago. Was thinking about rereading it. Should I just do the ln or just read the manhua then start from there.

All the important details are already in the manhwa and the novel was pretty slow around that time so you might enjoy the manhwa more.

If you just want to remind yourself of the plot and remember some details, I would say the manhwa. But if you've completely forgotten it, read the novel.

Only read a few chapters of the manwha and got confused on how the story would proceed. Does mc ever become physically strong (swords/magic) or uses knowledge and gets carried by the other protagonist?

He does become physically strong (he hates exercise) but he commands his op team in battles and occasionally steps up to use ancient powers which are nature attributed with characteristics that other generic powers don't fulfil. If it's confusing, just know whenever Cale steps up, he alters the whole fcking battle then couphs blood lol

He becomes strong through ways other than swords and magic and you can get a glimpse of what that is like 20-30 chapters in.

I’ve read this but after the dragon gets his revenge the story is mid asf I started to realize that the MC has no threat to his life or plans what so ever everything goes according to plan nothing goes wrong so I dropped it after that cause it feels like his life is never in danger and they’re no stakes

That's not true. Many times they sustain injury, have to run away, get cornered etc. It's not always smooth sailing plus the large scale wars and battles and political battles are very awesome

I won't spoil it to you but there are some good action and life threatening situations coming and it just very different from how the story started that's why you felt this way but it's yet to come if you decided to continue.

I tried reading ORV buts it’s hard as hell because there’s no details so I can’t imagine the situations or locations. It just goes from dialogue to dialogue most of the time. Then again I didn’t read that far, does it get better?

I'm not sure since it's been a while since I've read it, but I don't think it gets much better in that regard. I would suggest trying the manhwa.

This is one of the novels that I definitely should read since it really caught my attention and I loved what I read, but I don't have time and I always end up reading quick novels instead of this gem, one day I have to get serious xd
