Chapter 1519: Anxious To Face Family

Lu Lijun came to Jiang Yuyan's side as he could see through those conflicted expressions she had on her face. He held her hand and caressed it. "Everything will be fine."

She nodded and just then heard the familiar voice, "My dear, you are finally back."

Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan looked at the old man who was coming towards them from the garden and walking with the support of a cane. That wide smile on his lips showed how happy he was to see them. Jiang Yuyan walked towards the old man first as she didn't want him to rush to them. She reached him and asked, "Grandpa, how have you been?"

"I am just like you saw me last time but…." he stopped and observed Jiang Yuyan, "But you look changed."

"Changed?"

"A good change," elder Lu added and looked at Lu Lijun, "You did well."

Lu Lijun understood what his grandfather meant. Seeing Jiang Yuyan happy and like in the past, was what everyone wished. She only offered Elder Lu a smile in return as she didn't know what she should say about it that his youngest grandson was the reason for this change. She knew secretly everyone knew about them but talking it out was going to be difficult and awkward. Especially after what happened when Lu Lijun told the entire family about his feelings for her and how angry she was at him at that time and left home.

"Oh, the lovely couple has finally returned," they heard another familiar voice. Lu Lian came to them who was out for jogging, her entire body was sweating. The way she called them a couple, Jiang Yuyan widened her eyes at Lu Lian as if asking her to not call them like this while Lu Lijun didn't mind it at all. "Oh, don't be shy, Yuyan. Everyone knows it by now but just that no one talks it aloud," Lu Lian said as she breathed heavily and leaned down while resting her hands on her thighs as she was tired. Jiang Yuyan awkwardly looked at elder Lu who offered her an assuring smile and held her hand, "I am happy for both of you and I believe others feel the same."

Jiang Yuyan felt a little embarrassed to think about facing other family members and simply nodded to what the older man said.

"You seem to be working out a lot," Lu Lijun asked his sister. "I have to be fit before wedding. I don't want to be even a little fatty in my wedding dress," Lu Lian said as she touched her belly. Lu Lijun looked at her top to bottom, "You look fit already. Don't exert yourself before wedding."

"Fit? You don't know how much I ate these days, especially those tasty sweets that I see a little tire of fats growing around my belly, she touched her waist and pinched that little flesh left on the curve of her waist, "Do you see it?"

"It's perfect. You are overthinking," Lu Lijun assured but Lu Lian looked at Jiang Yuyan to ask and heard Jiang Yuyan, "You are overanxious like any other bride who wants to look perfect in her wedding dress. But trust me, there is nothing wrong and you look already so fit."

"Really?" Lu Lian asked as she touched her stomach. "Fine then. I want to look as pretty as you when you were a bride..." Lu Lian shut her mouth as she felt she had just said something wrong and she should not have brought it up. "...I..mean.."

"You will look prettier than I looked in my wedding. You and Ming Rusheng will make a perfect couple just like me and Lu Qiang," Jiang Yuyan said with a light smile. "What about both of us?" she heard Lu Lijun ask. Jiang Yuyan felt speechless as she didn't expect him to ask this especially when elder Lu was there. She offered him a glare but they heard elder Lu. "You two will look perfect together."

Jiang Yuyan could say nothing but wondered if they already meant for both of them to get married while Lu Lijun and elder Lu smiled at each other. "Let's go inside. Your grandmother has been waiting for you to reach home," Elder Lu said and led the way for them.

As they walked to go inside the home Lu Lian whispered to Lu Lijun, "How did your honeymoon go?"

Jiang Yuyan heard it but pretended to not and continued walking quietly with them. "Better than I had expected," Lu Lijun replied. "Good to know," she said happily while, "Finally my handsome brother is not vir...cough...I am proud of you."

Lu Lijun smiled Jiang Yuyan felt embarrassed as these siblings openly talked about their private time. Jiang Yuyan inhaled deeply before going to face the other family members. Lu Lian, who was next to her, whispered to her, "Don't worry. Everyone is chill about what is between you two."

"They know everything?" Jiang Yuyan whispered back. "Isn't it a wrong question to ask after how Lu Lijun declared his love for you in front of entire family and now both of you even had a nice honeymoon…cough…I mean vacation together, even returning home together like a happily ever after couple?"

Jiang Yuyan felt her cheeks turn red on hearing it and asked, "How about mother?"

"Hmm, that's a little tricky to guess. She is worried about you two but she never openly showed anything about you two being together. Maybe once you two talk and she gets to hear from you two about everything, she won't say anything. As much as I know my mother, just like all of us, she wishes you two to be happy."

Jiang exhaled at the thought of facing her mother-in-law. Though Ning Jiahui was her strong support since Lu Qiang was gone, still she was once again the mother of the man she loved and could not help but feel anxious.

'I hope everything goes well and mother won't be upset with me and Lu Lijun being together.'

As they entered the home, the first thing they saw was the grandmother coming out of her room and Su Hui helping her walk while Ning Jiahui came out from the kitchen after instructing servants about breakfast and got to know Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan were home. Before she could go out, she saw them entering home with Elder Lu.
