5/5 for the story but honestly the writing is sh*t even for webnovel standard. You can go in expect to read singular sentences framed as a paragraph. 50 of this novel's chapter is like 10 of any other novel. The MC has a personality that's not popular with readers (or anyone). He's seriously depressed and suicidal for a good number of chapters. He's also a hypocrite of the highest degree. But his development itself is well written even if the trajectory is going downhill. Why 5* after a seemingly all negative review? I love MC's personality. He's a depressed little b*tch but at least he cares. That resemblance of goodness already gives +5/10 for his personality

I am addicted to Warmaisach. If you liked SWOM, you'll probably like this. If you liked LITOW, you'll probably like this. Mc is a bit loopy, as usual for a Warmaisach novel, but that's part of his charm to me. Beyond that, the world building is top-tier as usual for Warmaisach, and it's originality is off the charts for a novel of this genre. Tbs, if you don't think you can enjoy the main characters of your novels slowly descending into madness and moral contradiction, this novel is probably not for you; even if that remains to be fully seen as of chapter 450~. The main character gives off very strong sinking-ship vibes. It is still Warmaisach after all. All in all, a personal 5/5 for me since I like the author's style, and I enjoy main characters like this. . . but I can see some people not liking it for the same reasons. I'd say give it a try! 200 chaps can't hurt THAT bad, right?

Utilitarian protagonist, hypocritical, struggles with moral dilemmas. World building is top notch, like it even made me bust at some points. It's just so good. It has everything, it has genocide, it has sorrow, it has slick *ss fights, probably will have romance at some point, if only for the sake of killing the female lead even. Yeah very 🔥 novel. This fall of has to be studied with a lab full of top tier scientists. How did we go from this top tier beginning and good character development to destroying all of it in the span of couple chapters. Authors decision to make mc hate and kill everyone is just so bad and stupidly executed to me. All of these irregular decisions and plot holes really ruined this novel for me. 2 stars becouse atleast the scp type power system was intresting until the end.

Story is pretty good and I like it: but issue is MC becomes a hypocritical insane communist trying to justify it in his mind but seeming hypocritical to every reader except a few. Awesome development in the company and stuff but I don’t like a communist MC like that especially with his mindest on improving the people by sacrificing one for the other, I don’t think it matches with my sense of “Won’t this just make another group of people happy and the cycle endlessly repeat?” Idk but love the teenage guilt.

for everyone commenting and hating on nick, most of you are tier 1 hypocrites, I would like to see you facing such impossible odds with everything trying to kill you left and right without losing your sanity, now into the actual review of the story and worldbuilding, I will be a bit biased since I like it when a character suffer to give an actual meaning to the power he is acquiring, nick in this case is faced terrible odds, clenching into anything to not drown and actually acquiring power is challenging, the worldbuilding reminds me a bit with SCP foundation which is a +1 to me, story so far is advancing in a good pace, I do hope any romance will be left out or if its going to be introduced, much later into the story to not break the flow. again, if you dont like a character because of his personality, you suck at reading, every human has a small part of insanity in him, you included.

Amazing power system , world, and fights. However the mc is a hypocritical depressed bipolar person that sucks any enjoyment this novel has to offer out of it . I might change my review the more the story develops but this is novel so is a pain to read and not enjoyable unless the mc is fighting.

Despite persisting through 350 chapters, the increasing annoyance eventually led me to abandon it. I cannot recommend it unless you're truly desperate for reading material.
