I like how the novel rotates around the psychology of MC. He is stelwart, brutal and honest. I like how he manages to pick himself and refuses to give up. I like the story building, plot and uncertainty. When i think i have grasped MCs character he goes ahead as does something unexpected. I love it. Thanks author for great story till now.
Middle of the novel gets kind of slog 300-400 but after that it gets back to being really good. MC isn't the most likeable but he grows on your
Starts off ok, becomes good and is ruined by the author making the MC and unbearable hypocrite who is constantly depressed. I don't mind villian/anti-hero mcs, but they need to have a direction and goal. The MC will off anyone who is slightly a criminal despite him committing far worse acts and constantly breaking the law.
Not required to read previous 2 Great works of the writer 'Lightning is the only way' and 'Sword God in the Magical world', but you would find Similarities such as: 1- Mental disorder of MC. 2- Suffering, Suffering and Suffering for MC. 3- Villains, Guards, Side character and basically most are very logical in story, Face slapping is a fantasy, everyone is smart, it feels like Fiction in what is supposed to be Fiction, what I mean to say i characters don't act Dumb. Now if I want to describe Kill the Sun, if it's worth reading, how much worth it? I would say it should easily find a spot in Top 10 if you have read all of not most novels in current Top 30 on this site in overall rankings, and if you are new reader with less experience, this would become Masterpiece and your favorite novel. Now onto the negatives: MC is too fixed on his goal to redeem himself, lessen his Guilty, help people, Do or Die Mentality, Character Development is good at the beginning but when everything goes to sh*t, his actions intentionally or unintentionally Make innocent people suffer, he becomes Mentally ill patient on the path of Redemption. 5/5 Worth it.
Seriously one of the best novels in here, guaranteed to entertain every reader. Kill the sun is marginally better then the author's other masterpiece novel Lighting is the only way which has a mix of darkness to it's storyline and doesn't have those fake af teenage romances mixed inside to drag on the arc/storyline. So if you're into an action packed nerve racking thrill ride, this is the novel guys !

A nice novel once you've read warmaisach's works. The first 200 chapter were hard to diggest to me. But now I'm at chapter 590 and I'm enjoying this story. Recomended if you've read A Sword God in a World of Magic and/or The Lightning is the Only Way.
One of the best novels I've ever read, the character seems real, to really appreciate the protagonist you have to keep in mind that humanity is in a war it's losing, and that their world is really different that our because in their power is really everything this explain the way of the protag.
Droped at chapter 250 for now. I had high hopes for this one but I just can't give it a better score as of now. Most things in this novele are fine from characters to world building but the main problem is the main character. He is just bad. I hate him. At one point je is ruthless at the second caring then depressed then happy then je wants money then je wants pover then je wants to kill himself its all over the place and all the years je spent in the Company je didnt didnt develop one bit as a person as a character. He has allot on his mind but no clear goal in sight and everything that happens the Next 3 chapters are his inner monolgue of stuff that can be said in one chapter. I understand that the Autor is trying to develop him an he is a late bloomer but 250 chapters focusig on a MC psychical state is to much. Will je finaly grow i dont know and for now I dont care.
This novel is one of the best novels I have read so far. It is kind of just within the realms of SS, LOTM, MOL, but better than the rest obviously. Highly reccomended for readers looking for a Hero to Villain to Antihero transition. The MC is not perfect, but human. There is not really any romance at all till 580 chaps, atleast. MC is seemingly naive but deadly. There is character growth. Action, Lore, and World building, all in good amounts. Power system's pretty simple. MC's plot armor is kind of null🌚. MC's abilities seems useless considering the risks to gets it, but is really fit for MC. Overall, this novel is an underrated gem.
A peak novel on this site in my opinion. Warmaisach doesn't disappoint in this regard. All his novels are very relatable to real life, in that the characters do not display unreasonable behaviors or some stupid naivety. Although his MCs tend to have some psychological issues, but it helps them achieve their goals. It accurately shows what they lose in gaining what the want. This novel seems to be an upgrade of his previous novels. The MC is not soo twisted, a new system of power (different from what is usually seen on this site), a healthy dose of ambition (Soo far). It worth the read.
you need to understand the difference between a flawed mc by mistake and a flawed mc by design, nick is the latter. warma novels arent all dandy, they are often times more realistic and gruesome with what the mcs go through, he often drops an already not "mentally strong" mc into a world thats already completely misreable. ofcourse i can see where you are coming for, literally the only reason this novel isnt rated higher is because of the mc, just about everyone dislikes him, he gets better in the later chapters where he actually has a direction and a goal. but for now i would just recommend sticking with the story, its a honestly fantastically built world and its written great, the only real problem is the mc, which eventually becomes better like i said. so yeah try to bear with please cause this novel can actually turn out to be a gem given time.
