Summary

Lewis Griffith loved magic ever since he was little, dreaming of the day when he would awaken and become a great 'Mage'.

However, this dream is shattered upon the discovery that he was inept, unable to form a mana core, and ever utilize magic.

Still, due to his outstanding dedication to the art, he studied magic and developed countless theories and schools. His unique concept revolutionized magic in the world, making him one of the most renowned scholars in history.

Surprisingly, he reincarnates after several centuries have passed since his death, once again thrust into the world of magic.

Will his second time be different? Or will he be the same Magic theorist he was in the past? The tale of Jared Leonard, formerly known as the Great Sage of Magic, is just beginning.

The novel has a really good idea but it seems to fail in executing it properly i've read the first two arcs. The pacing needs to be improved also the fights while interesting did not stood out to me as the characters does however it seems that the character development different. personally it was the main points the novel fell flat as the MC seems to have no proper short term goal. every few chapters the Mc seems to get frustrated and then suddenly matures but the cycle repeats again. also while the magic system is a basic one at the start it was executed well enough but very quickly it became just a vague framework. i hope it improves further ahead but i don't think that i can read it.

from bad to average... some dialogues are ridiculous, as are the motivations of some characters. and it's also quite annoying when the author breaks the rhythm a few times out of NOTHING, at least as far as I went (141) if you have patience, read it, but don't expect anything very good, besides having to endure moments of embarrassment when reading that.

The romance only starts to get evident at the fourth arc and really good at around the fifth arc. He chooses Maria, though

This novel wasted so much of its potential with the weird and degenerate scenes, i stopped at around chp 400+, and the mc is the weirdest dude i have ever seen, like why is this dude getting sexually aroused by his mom, and also, why does he find a 15-17 yrs old (cant remember) girl attractive when he's supposed to be an old man reincarnated into a young dude's body, like bro what the hell is even happening in this novel anymore also the time skip that happened was so incredibly poorly done, mc talks about how there are mythical items called arcanas that are super rare and despite his immense knowledge he has never even found any traces of it in his past life, and now he suddenly had multiple of them after the timeskip!?!?? how?? as for the part when he combined magic and miasma (demon magic basically), when he did this supposedly impossible thing, it wasn't even explained how he did it, we were just supposed to accept that it was cuz he's the smartest and that hes a genius

tbh the construction of the magic system in this novel, while generic in some ways, is actually kinda refreshing and unique, i wouldn't have read as far as i did if i wasn't interested, it brings up some pretty unique concepts that are kinda cool, but of course you'll have to be able to ignore all the horrible things that come along with it, in my case i wasn't able to. but imo if you really don't have anything to read, i'd say give this a try, you might be able to ignore the annoying stuff about it and actually enjoy some of the good things about it👍

yea if you can ignore the parts i've mentioned then it's actually not that bad, it's barely decent at best imo and can be an okay time passer if you've got nothing to read at all

i really liked the concept of multiple cores connected to each other subcores and miasma cores, concept of arcane cards was also fine but the author didn't develop onto it instead Focus on side characters . mc and his power ups was overshadowed by plot and story of side characters

exactly the concept of multiple cores were so cool to me but everything else just wasn't executed that well

Main character is what is known as a Singularity. He’s a threat to the Cult, which is why he must be eliminated. As for Kuzon, he’s a prince of one really powerful nation.

Alphonse is Jared’s grandfather, and as for his father Damien Leonard… he plays a role in the fourth and fifth arc respectively

His family becomes an advantage, and his father really helps him out a lot in the fourth arc.

Okay I never judge a book by it rating but this... This 100% deserves it. I don't understand why mc keeps acting like a third rate villain with those cringy *ss monologues. Second why he is basically battle worn veteran with decades of experience but he acts like like an actual 12 year old. Did I mention the cringy monologue?

Strongly disagree with how this is portrayed. I wonder what point you reached in the novel for you to say this. I’ve read a lot of webnovels, and the starts aren’t particularly stellar. This one is no different. It’s the more you delve into the story that you’ll appreciate just how good it is.

This site doesn’t allow links. The best you can do is google the name of the novel and go to its original Webnovel site to get the link. It’s pretty easy.

I'm so done with the comments, it's just a bunch of people being negative. People are so judgemental just because it isn't what they like or whatever and yet they still read being as masochistic as ever. I normally love reading comments such as for LITOW or Sword God in a World of Magic but the comments here are making me rethink even reading them at all.

So, did you read it? And what's your opinion? Also, I did some minor searching through the comments (before I too couldn't handle the repeated negativity) and it seems this has romance and is possibly a Harem. Can you verify and/or deny that please?

It's very cliche, I would say read it while your waiting for something else, such as new chapters of Sword God in a World of Magic or SS

No harem. There is romance, but it’s complicated because initially there were many love interests and the author said he wasn’t going for a harem. Also, I’m in chapter 1,000+ and so far I can say the book gets better the more you read I find it very enjoyable ngl.
